I just won a car at auction! Now what?

Steps to Assume Ownership After Winning a Car at Auction

 1. Delivery

Delivery is required for all buyers except Power Buyers. (A Power Buyer is a dealer or buyer with 3 or more completed purchases on their Remarket Space account.)

  • To arrange your delivery: log in to your Remarket Space account, locate your personalized delivery quote, and accept it to confirm. Once accepted, we'll handle all transport. — accept it there and we'll handle all transport.

  • If you're a Power Buyer: you may pick up at our Elk River lot within 3 business days of the auction closing, or choose delivery instead.

2. Complete Payment Within 48 Hours

Payment is due within the time window shown in your Remarket Space account after the auction ends, for every buyer, whether you're picking up or receiving delivery.

  • Pay online by credit or debit card in your Remarket Space account.
  • Confirm your card's single-transaction and daily limits with your bank before you pay — this is the most common reason a payment is declined.

3. Pickup Day (Power Buyers)

Paperwork is quick — typically under 5 minutes. We'll provide:

  • Temporary tags or license plates, depending on DMV requirements
  • Keys to your vehicle
  • A map to locate your vehicle on our lot

Please note: personal vehicles and children under 16 are not allowed on our lot. The lot is self-service, but we offer jump packs and air compressors for your convenience. Gasoline, coolant, and license plate screws are also available for purchase — and if you'd like a free set of plate screws, just ask about leaving us a quick Google or Facebook review.

Title timing

Title delivery time depends on your location: Minnesota buyers typically receive titles within 1-3 months, while out-of-state buyers and dealers typically receive titles within 31 days.

  • Minnesota buyers: titles arrive within 1–3 months.
  • Out-of-state buyers and dealers: titles arrive within 31 days.
